WhiteBIT has reached a major milestone by becoming the first cryptocurrency exchange in the world to receive Cryptocurrency Security Standard (CCSS) Level 3 certification.Developed by the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4), this certification is the new benchmark in cryptocurrency platform security. With this achievement, WhiteBIT is on par with world-class platforms known for the highest level of security.

CCSS is an industry security standard designed to provide high levels of security for cryptocurrency systems. It complements existing ICT security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS by introducing specific best practice guidelines for securing cryptocurrencies. The standard includes three levels of certification, with Level 3 being high and advanced security measures such as multi-signature wallets, access control, disaster recovery planning as well as strictPenetration testing and detailed audits of sensitive processes such as data awareness policies are required.

WhiteBIT's successful certification was obtained by Hacken, a leading cybersecurity company accredited by C4 to audit organizations against the CCSS standard. The auditor conducted a thorough review of WhiteBIT's security infrastructure after three years of preparation. The audit, which lasted 2.5 months, included an in-depth review of cold and hot wallets, dozens of hours of interviews with WhiteBIT employees, and the deployment of more than 100Artifacts detailing the exchange's policies, procedures and security protocols.The final 97-page report reflects extensive testing and hundreds of questions asked during the process, ensuring full compliance with the strict requirements of CCSS Level 3.
